Hatchers Solicitors recently sponsored Relate’s Winter Event; an afternoon of archery, tea time treats and a fashion show in the grounds of Ann Fisher’s home, Oakley Hall in Market Drayton. The event raised more than £3000 for the relationship Support Charity.

Ann Fisher, Partner at Hatchers said “We are very keen to support the Relate charity, what they do is so important to society. As solicitors we often have to deal with the unpleasant side of family breakdowns and other unfortunate situations. It definitely makes you more aware of some of the awful situations people have to deal with, sometimes completely alone. When you look at other regional charities, Relate is an ‘unsung hero’ and we hope that events like this will help to educate the general public on the amazing work that the charity carry out”

“Hatchers have been involved quite heavily with the event, our Marketing Coordinator, Jessie Hinds has helped with the promotion and planning of the event and members of staff volunteered their Sunday afternoon to help out on the day.”

The event was hosted by Relate Shropshire, Herefordshire and North Staffordshire to raise money for bursaries, provided to those who need help to afford counselling. Nearly 100 people enjoyed the event, which was compered by former head teacher Ryan Jervis. He spoke about the importance of Relate’s counselling for young people.

Relate’s CEO, Sue Frankfort said: “It was a really good day. The house and grounds looked stunning. We had archery set up on the front lawn and a lot of people had a go”

Tanners and Rybrook BMW were also sponsors; Tanners provided the ‘fizz’ and Rybrook BMW exhibited a selection of cars at the front of the house, including the new i8 hybrid super car.
