Shrewsbury Grand Prix competition winner delighted with new bike

Shrewsbury Grand prix bike prize winner

This year’s Shrewsbury Cycle Grand Prix was warmly embraced by the local community and visitors alike. Thousands turned up to participate in and support the event which has become a hugely popular addition to the town’s event calendar. With the additional challenge of the Claremont climb and an extended course to contend with, this year’s cyclists were pushed to the max and they certainly didn’t disappoint!

As proud supporters of the event, Hatchers once again sponsored the under 10 and under 12 races and held a competition to win a child’s bike. On the day, Rachael was entered into the competition by her parents Lucie and Michael Bishop, who live locally and love cycling. The results were announced and with the help of her brother James, Rachael was very pleased to select her new bike from a fantastic selection at Dave Mellor Cycles.

Rachael’s parents commented

“We had a great day watching all the races at the Shrewsbury Grand Prix 2017.  The icing on the cake was winning this fabulous bike sponsored by Hatchers Solicitors. Thank you, the Bishops.”

Andrew Holland, Partner at Hatchers said

“We are delighted the competition was won by Rachael, a keen young cyclist who enjoys days out on her bike with all her family. The Shrewsbury Grand Prix provides such inspiration for young people and it is pleasing to see so many with a keen interest in the sport.”
