Shrewsbury law firm Hatchers Solicitors has been recognised for the way it supports and manages its staff with an internationally recognised accreditation from Investors in People. After a recent assessment the firm was praised for amongst other things its organisational ambition, performance management and strong core values. Successful accreditation in the scheme marks the firm out as a great employer, and is a mark of high performance in business and people management.
The assessment report took account of an online survey completed by staff, as well as a number of staff interviews that were conducted during the process. Feedback from staff revealed an open and transparent culture at the firm, where partners and team managers effectively communicate the firm’s purpose, mission and objectives. Staff also commented on how they felt trusted and empowered to make decisions, but that support from management was available when needed.
Assessors found staff recognised and believed in the firm’s key values, in particular client relationships, team work, integrity and innovation & improvement. The firm also received specific praise for its loyalty to, and involvement in the local community.
Commenting on the report, Emma Jones, Practice Manager at Hatchers said, “The accreditation is a recognition of Hatchers commitment to retaining and developing our staff. We want everyone in the team to get involved and participate fully in decision making and business development, so we are delighted to receive such positive and encouraging feedback.”
