All members of the Hatchers Wills and Probate Team have become Dementia Friends, after attending training at their Welsh Bridge office.
The Dementia Friends Information Session gave the team a chance to learn about dementia and how it can affect people’s lives. Led by a volunteer Dementia Friends Champion, the session lasted 60 minutes and covered the five key messages that everyone should know about dementia, through activities and discussion.
Dementia Friends is led by Alzheimer’s Society and is one strand of its work to create Dementia Friendly Communities.
Mark Munro, Partner and Head of the Wills and Probate Team commented, “We feel it is particularly important for all members of our Wills and Probate team to receive Dementia Friends training, given our area of work. As a firm we recognise the value of our staff benefitting from a greater awareness of dementia, as it becomes ever more significant for all of us.”
