Corporate and Employment Paralegal - (12 months fixed term – leading to Training Contract)
Welsh Bridge Office, Shrewsbury
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven graduate to join our busy Corporate and Employment Team to provide Paralegal support leading to a Training Contract to commence in the autumn of 2019.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and busy team to gain experience and exposure to a wide range of business sectors and commercial clients within a supportive and engaging environment.
Typical duties will include:
- Transactional support with a wide range of matters varying in complexity and scale;
- Administration support such as file opening, billing, archiving and scanning;
- Liaising with clients and taking initial instructions;
- Taking an active role in marketing and networking initiatives.
Subject to satisfactory completion of the initial 12 month Paralegal position, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will begin the formal part of their training with the opportunity to complete seats in areas of law such as Commercial Property and Dispute Resolution.
Upon qualification, there will be an opportunity to join the Corporate and Employment Team and therefore a genuine interest and passion for this area of law is essential.
The successful candidate must have:
- Degree with a minimum of 2:1
- Successfully completed the LPC (in addition to GDL/conversion course if relevant)
- Strong links and/or commitment to Shropshire.

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail;
- Able to prioritise tasks under pressure and to strict deadlines;
- Commercially aware;
- Committed to providing a high level of client care.

Apprentice Receptionist/Administration Support – Full Time (Working towards NVQ Level 2) 12 month fixed term contract
We are looking for a well presented and self motivated individual to fulfil this varied and interesting role.
As Receptionist/Administration Support you will be based front of house, answering calls and meeting and greeting clients as well as providing secretarial and administrative support.
You will be enthusiastic with a flexible and helpful attitude and excellent communication skills. Previous administration or secretarial experience would be beneficial but is not essential as training will be provided. You will also be experienced in dealing with members of the public and providing high standards of customer service. Previous experience using Microsoft Office would be an advantage.
