She is originally from Derbyshire, but moved to Staffordshire as a young child and then went to school in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.  From there she went to University in Wolverhampton, obtaining a BA (Hons) in European Politics and French.

On graduating from university in 1996, Alex began working as a legal secretary in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.  She then moved to Shropshire, and went on to obtain the LLDip from Wolverhampton, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2006.

After a number of years out of the legal profession, Alex joined Hatchers in September 2014, from Shropshire Council, where she had worked for Shropshire Safeguarding Children Board.

Areas of Expertise

Currently based in Whitchurch, Alex works in our residential property team and has previous experience of cases in civil litigation and Crown Court matters.

A little bit more about Alex

Alex lives in North Shropshire with her young daughter and is a keen member of Wem Community Choir.  Following on from her previous job with Shropshire Safeguarding Children Board, and as the daughter of a church warden, she is also the Safeguarding Officer for the Wem Benefice of churches.
