Margaret works in the probate department specialising in Wills, Trusts, Probate, Tax Planning and Court of Protection work. She is a member of the highly respected Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), whose role is to develop and maintain standards in this area of the law. Margaret is also a member of Solicitors For the Elderley who are are professional body specialising in elderley client issues.
Margaret went to school in Much Wenlock and worked in business before deciding on a career change. She qualifed as a solicitor after studying for a law degree at Keele University and her Legal Practice Course at Staffordshire University.
She is a great believer in encouraging people to develop skills for success. She represents Hatchers on the Young Enterprise scheme, acting as an adviser to students at a Shropshire school who are gaining practical experience in business by setting up and running their own companies. Margaret provides invaluable guidance on how to keep these companies operating within the law, including advising on memorandum and articles of association, terms and conditions of trade, and health & safety regulations and marketing and sales plans .
Whenever she has a bit of spare time, Margaret can be found renovating her Victorian property. But she also enjoys travelling, playing badminton and has recently taken up running.
