Hatchers Bid for Gold Medal

Hatchers Solicitors, made a strong entry into the 2008 Macmillan Coracle Relay World Championship event held at the Pengwern Boat Club, Shrewsbury on the 6th June 2008.

Raising money for the Macmillan cancer support charity, Hatchers two teams of four certainly entered into the spirit of the afternoon’s proceedings, with one team even managing to make it into the semi-finals. An unlucky capsize in the closing stages of the race saw them miss out on a place in the finals.

Although not officially honoured, the award for the most capsizes should have been made to clerical assistant, Dean Prior (pictured below), who managed to enter the water three times during one race. Quite an impressive achievement.
