Faster than a Masai warrior...

... slower than a man dressed as a rhino! Michael Poulsom, a commercial property solicitor at Hatchers in Battlefield, Shrewsbury , took part in the 2008 London marathon in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind...

Michael completed the course in 5 hours 11 minutes, raising over £1,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind. His wife Michelle was there to cheer him on. Her family has been involved with the charity for many years.

It was a race of two halves, says Mike: "I had an excellent first half in blazing sunshine and a diabolical second half as the weather threw everything it could at us from hailstones to driving rain.  I’m not as fit as I once was and to be honest I was exhausted when I crossed the finish line just ahead of the Masai warriors, but behind the man in the rhino costume!”
